To Use the Automatic Routing Option

Before cables can be auto routed, auto connect tool has to be used first ( cables will have length displayed if auto connect tool is used), and auto routing entry points have to be verified and confirmed that each equipment has raceways selected either by bounding sphere ( Max Distance) or by using the Include option.

Select Calculate Optimized Route from the Ribbon menu.
Next, select the Auto Route option from the ribbon menu.
The connections between the source and target using the nearest possible raceway systems are made automatically.
When the routing is complete, a message dialog will display the routing information:

In status column the system displays whether the auto route has worked (Success) or didn't work (Failed). For auto routed cables length is automatically updated.

If a routing process fails because the bend radius of the cable exceeds that of the raceway it displays as follows:

Note: The bend radius for cables is defined in the Options dialog under the Cable Data > Cable Types section.
To preview cable route select cable and click option Visualize from ribbon menu.
